Derrick Parmer

Derrick Parmer, 34, is a dedicated Youth Support Specialist originally from Buffalo, New York, who relocated to Rochester in 2018. A proud graduate with a degree in Human Services, Derrick has built a career rooted in compassion and community impact. His experience includes working at Mary Cariola Children’s Center, where he supported individuals with mental and physical disabilities across school, group home, and day habilitation settings. Currently, he works with troubled youth, helping them successfully reintegrate into the community.

Derrick is a proud husband, celebrating his marriage each year on May 18, and is deeply family-oriented. He is known for being approachable, service-driven, and fully committed to walking in the path God has laid before him. A loyal fan of the Buffalo Bills, L.A. Lakers, and Boston Red Sox, Derrick balances passion for sports with a heart for service and a strong dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.
