Honoring Deacon Anthony Q. Redding

Today, we are honored to recognize Deacon Anthony Q. Redding, a man whose nearly 30 years of ministry have been a living testimony of servant leadership and unwavering faith.


Throughout his decades of service, Deacon Redding has answered the call to serve in multiple leadership roles, always willing to step forward wherever God directed him. Whether leading through example, strengthening ministries, encouraging the body of Christ, or guiding financial stewardship, Deacon Redding has remained committed to advancing God’s Kingdom with integrity and passion.


His love for God’s people, community outreach, family development, financial stewardship, and music ministry reflect a heart fully surrendered to the service of others. His ministry has touched countless lives, providing spiritual support, leadership, and a sense of stability that is felt throughout the First Genesis family.


Beyond his church service, Deacon Redding’s devotion shines brightly in his personal life. A loving husband, a proud father of two adult children, and a cherished grandfather of two, he models faith and leadership in his home, fulfilling his calling not only in the church but also in the lives of those he loves most. In addition, Dec. Redding is a long time Finance Executive for Eastman Kodak for 30 years.


His life and ministry are anchored in the timeless wisdom of Proverbs 3:6:"In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths."This verse has served as his guiding principle, reminding all who know him that true leadership begins with acknowledging God in every step, every decision, and every act of service.


Deacon Redding’s presence at First Genesis is a reflection of steadfastness—quiet but powerful leadership that strengthens the foundation of the church. He is a man who understands that service is not just a task, but a lifestyle—a commitment to building, uplifting, and glorifying God through every role entrusted to him.
