Honoring Deaconess Yasmin Redding
We are honored to celebrate Deaconess Yasmin Redding, a faithful and passionate servant whose dedication to ministry continues to bless First Genesis Baptist Church in countless ways.
As Chairperson of the Deaconess Board, Deaconess Redding leads with grace, wisdom, and a heart devoted to God's people. Her commitment to service extends across many areas of the church, including her roles as Co-Director of Vacation Bible School, Black History Month Chair, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Christmas & Easter Programs Director, UGW Teacher, and as a member of the Straight from the Heart Outreach Ministry. She is also a retired teacher of the Rochester City School District.
Her life is a true reflection of her favorite scripture:
“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” – Joshua 24:15
Deaconess Redding is a shining example of what it means to live a life of purpose, pouring into generations through education, celebration, and outreach. Her leadership not only uplifts the church but inspires others to walk boldly in faith and service.
