Strength for the Fast: Scriptures to Read, Declare, and Stand On
- Jan 21
- 3 min read

As we enter this sacred time of fasting, we are reminded that a fast is not simply about what we refrain from—it is about what we draw closer to. Fasting creates space for God to heal, restore, and realign us—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. It quiets the noise around us and within us, allowing God’s restoring presence to meet us where we are.
Throughout Scripture, God reveals Himself as healer and restorer. He heals the brokenhearted, renews weary bodies, and restores what has been lost or damaged. His Word assures us that healing is not only something God can do—it is something He desires to do for His people.
Scripture is more than encouragement—it is a source of restoration. When the body is tired, the Word brings renewal. When the heart is heavy, God’s promises bring healing and peace. During this fast, we invite you to read, speak, and meditate on the healing scriptures below. Let them minister to you, renew your faith, and remind you that God is still restoring, still healing, and still faithful.

A Word of Encouragement
As you fast, don’t rush through these scriptures. Sit with them. Read them aloud. Pray them back to God. Let them remind you that healing, restoration, peace, and new life are not distant hopes—they are present promises.
This fast is a posture of faith. It is an act of trust. And it is an opportunity to declare that God is still healer, still restorer, and still giver of life.
We are praying with you and for you. Stay encouraged. Stay grounded in the Word. And believe—because God is faithful.
