William Day – Humble, Committed, and Anchored in Faith

ree

As we close out our Men of First Genesis spotlight series, it is only fitting that we honor a man who

exemplifies quiet strength, humility, and a heart fully committed to God—Brother William Day.

At 84 years young, Brother Day is a shining example of faithfulness over a lifetime. He has served diligently on the Usher Board, within the Men’s Ministry, and is always willing to lend a helping hand during funeral services. His presence is dependable, his spirit is gentle, and his care for others is genuine.

Professionally, Brother Day worked for Thruway Spring, building a life rooted in hard work and consistency. Outside of work and church, he finds peace in nature—fishing being one of his favorite pastimes.

To those who know him, Brother Day is more than just a faithful servant. He’s a true friend, a man’s man, and a man of God. His life reflects what it means to be committed without needing the spotlight—serving others with grace, offering wisdom through presence, and showing love through action.

He is a proud father of three children—two sons and one daughter—and finds joy in spending time with family, one of his greatest treasures.

His favorite scripture, Psalm 20, is a powerful declaration of trust in God’s protection and provision:

“The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee.” – Psalm 20:1

Brother William Day, we thank you for showing us that real strength is quiet, true leadership is humble, and faithfulness is a lifelong journey. Your life is a gift to First Genesis, and your legacy will continue to inspire.
