A Woman of Faith, Strength, and Purpose

“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” — Book of Proverbs 31:26

As we prepare to celebrate Women’s Day on May 17, we are honored to recognize a woman whose presence brings both strength and warmth into every space she enters — Tamara Nicole Howard.

Tamara embodies what it means to be a servant leader. As a mother, friend, missionary, and community builder, she leads with heart, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to lifting others up. Her faith is not simply spoken — it is lived daily through service, compassion, and purpose.

As a faithful servant in our Food Ministry, Tamara helps meet practical needs while ministering hope to others. Her missionary spirit reflects a life devoted to serving God by serving people.

Her impact reaches far beyond the church walls. As Founder of ADAPTT Rochester, Inc., she is helping build up women and children to recognize their worth, rise in confidence, and walk boldly in their beautiful, unique, and unlimited purpose. Through this work, she empowers others to see possibility where others may see limitation.

Tamara is also active in Roc the Peace, advancing hope, healing, and change throughout Rochester through youth mentorship, family support, advocacy, and community-building efforts like the annual Peace Festival. Through these efforts, she continues to be a force for peace, restoration, and unity.

Whether feeding the hungry, mentoring others, empowering women and children, or standing in the gap for her community, Tamara lives out faith in action. She reminds us that when women lead with purpose, entire communities are made stronger.

Today, through our Women of Faith Spotlight, we honor a woman whose faith produces impact, whose strength inspires others, and whose kindness leaves a lasting imprint on all who know her.

Thank you, Tamara Nicole Howard, for being a light.

Thank you for your faith.

Happy Women’s Day, and thank you for all you do. ❤️

“We honor women whose faith, strength, and love make a lasting impact in our church, our homes, and our community.”
