In Loving Memory of Deacon Leroy Carter

Today, we pause to honor and remember the life and legacy of Deacon Leroy Carter, a faithful servant of First Genesis Baptist Church whose presence blessed our church family for many years.
Deacon Carter was more than a deacon—he was a steady hand, a humble leader, and a joyful spirit whose love for the church was evident in everything he did. Whether serving in church maintenance, lifting his voice in the Male Choir, or standing in his role as a deacon, he gave his all with quiet strength and heartfelt devotion.
He served not for recognition, but out of a deep love for God and a sincere commitment to the ministry. His care for the church building, his voice in worship, and his steady presence in the sanctuary made a lasting impact that will never be forgotten.
Though he is no longer with us physically, his legacy of faithfulness lives on—in the walls he helped maintain, in the songs he sang, and in the hearts of those who knew and served alongside him.
We thank God for the gift of Deacon Leroy Carter and the life he lived in service to others and to the Kingdom. May his memory continue to inspire us all to serve with humility, love, and faith.
